Laboratory Procedures

- Safety
is the highest priority during the laboratory periods and you will be
expected to follow all safety guidelines.
- Laboratory is an integral component to the study of
Chemistry.
- New York State requires successful completion of
laboratories in order to take the Regents exam.
- Students must bring a lab folder to class!
- If you miss a lab you must complete it within one
week during a scheduled 9th period. You must schedule
the day for the makeup lab with the teacher.
- After completing a lab, you must hand in the completed
laboratory report in order to receive credit. You are required to write your
own report independently! Ten points will be taken off for each day a lab
report is late.
